What is a consultation?
The decision to seek treatment can create nervousness and apprehension. Therefore, it is important to feel comfortable with the person with whom you decide to undertake treatment. A consultation affords you the chance to try out what treatment may feel like without a long-term commitment.
During the consultation, I will ask you to discuss the difficulties you have been experiencing and encourage you to share any concerns that arise over the course of the consultation. As part of my comprehensive assessment, I will summarize my understanding of the central areas of conflict you are experiencing and provide you with my recommendation(s) regarding treatment options. A consultation can occur over the course of two to three meetings.
